The InterACT program is a newly developed educational program that teaches young children who do and do not stutter about stuttering and other human differences. It addresses the basic concept of same and different, the nature and causes of stuttering, helpful and unhelpful responses stuttering, and awareness and acceptance of human differences. The program includes 2, 10-minute puppetry videos (including a theme song!), a set of discussion cards based on the themes raised in the videos, and an activity book (which can be duplicated for each child). This program has an emerging evidence base, which is detailed in a recent article in the American Journal of Speech-Language-Pathology. The program can be implemented by professionals in individual, small group, or full-classroom format. (the video, discussion boards, and activity book are all included with the digital download).
